Ingredients :
  • For the meatballs
  • 1 lb. ground turkey meat (16 oz.)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Sriracha sauce
  • 1.5 tsp. soy sauce, low-sodium (or use liquid aminos)
  • 1 tsp. ginger, fresh, minced
  • 1/2 shallot, minced (about 2 Tbsp.)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats, pulsed in food processor
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • For the sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce, low-sodium low-sodium
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 3 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. honey or brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Sweet rice wine (mirin)
  • 2 tsp. ginger, fresh, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • green onions for garnish
  • Cornstarch slurry to thicken teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch



Instructions :
  • For the meatballs
  • Preheat oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. If you don't have any parchment paper, spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients for the meatballs together. The mixture should be moist and able to form together into meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until fully cooked. (165°F for ground turkey)
  • For the sauce
  • While the meatballs are baking you can make the teriyaki sauce. In a medium saucepan over low/medium heat. coming the soy sauce, water, orange juice, Sriracha, honey, sesame oil, mirin, ginger and garlic together. Bring sauce to a simmer. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until combined. Slowly whisk in the cornstarch mixture into the sauce until sauce begins to thicken. Once thick, remove from heat and stir in the sesame seeds.
  • After you make the sauce, your meatballs should be done. Pour the sauce over meatballs, garnish with green onions/scallions and enjoy. We love these teriyaki meatballs as an appetizer or turned into a main dish with rice and broccoli.
